Casta Bags is a Colombian brand of Wayúu backpacks and handicrafts that honors and empowers indigenous Wayúu communities through fair trade, recognition of the ancestral work of weaving, quality and ethical marketing of products. Each of our backpacks and handcrafted products are made by indigenous craftswomen, to whom we entrust the weaving of each product at a fair price and dignifying the ancestral knowledge that Wayúu women learn since childhood. Our backpacks are totally sustainable, as they economically empower the indigenous communities of La Guajira and reduce the generation of textile waste, through the production of key chains, handles and other products that are made with the surplus yarn left over from the process of making the backpacks. We bring to your hands the stories and traditions of the Wayúu, through unique handicrafts that combine tradition, elegance and modern design, created under principles of fair trade and sustainability.
